After learning how to write a paragraph, we begin to write stories. Student come up with their plot, problem and solution. They practice with puppets and present in front of the class. We learn audience etiquette and tell students three things that we liked about the show. The joy of presenting with puppets overpowers the fear of being in front of others. The puppets help them grow their confidence in their stories. They are more willing to share stories in the future after this experience. I would love a variety of puppets to help with this project.
