  • Organized Minds, Ready to Learn!

    Funded Mar 30, 2025

Thank you for your generous donations and for believing in my classroom! We can hardly wait to receive our materials and put them to use. An organized space will make a huge difference in my students’ learning experience. With your kindness, we’re setting them up for success, and I can’t wait to see the positive impact on their daily routines.”

  • Celebrate Positive Behavior: a PBIS Store for Our Students!

    Funded Jan 16, 2025

I can't thank you enough for your generosity in supporting our PBIS Store project! Your contribution has had an immediate and meaningful impact on our classroom, helping us reinforce positive behaviors in a way that excites and motivates our students.

When the new PBIS store materials arrived, the students' faces lit up with excitement! They were eager to explore the new rewards and couldn't wait to start earning their incentives. In our classroom, students work hard to earn a minimum of five checks per day, which allows them to receive one car each day. Watching them take ownership of their choices and strive toward their goals has been incredible. One of my favorite moments was seeing a student who typically struggles with motivation work extra hard to follow classroom expectations—just so he could save up for a special reward. The positive reinforcement has already made a noticeable difference in our classroom environment.

With these new resources, we've been able to celebrate students' efforts and encourage positive social interactions. Our next step is to continue expanding the store with even more meaningful incentives that align with their interests, further encouraging responsibility and self-regulation.

Thank you for making this possible! Your kindness has truly made a difference in our classroom.”

  • Building a Mini Market: Teaching Math Through Fun, Hands-On Learning

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

I can't thank you enough for your generosity in making Building a Mini Market: Teaching Math Through Fun, Hands-On Learning a reality! The impact of these resources on my students has been truly remarkable.

From the moment we unboxed the materials, my students' excitement was contagious. They eagerly explored the mini market setup, and it was incredible to see them actively engaged in learning math concepts in such a hands-on way. Whether they were counting play money, pricing items, or role-playing as cashiers and shoppers, every activity reinforced key skills like addition and financial literacy.

One particularly special moment was seeing a student who typically hesitates with math confidently total up a purchase—it was a breakthrough! These resources have turned abstract concepts into real-world applications, making learning more meaningful and enjoyable.

As we continue using our mini market, students will build on their financial literacy skills and develop social interactions. Thanks to your support, they are learning in a way that feels like play but is filled with valuable lessons.

We are so grateful for your kindness and belief in our classroom. Thank you for making a difference!”

  • Exploring the Wonders of Weather with Hands-On Materials

    Funded Nov 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous support of the Exploring the Wonders of Weather with Hands-On Materials project. The materials you provided have been a game-changer for my students as we explore winter weather. Recently, my students used cotton balls, food coloring, and shaving cream to simulate snowstorms and create snowflake patterns. By combining these materials with sensory play, students gained a tangible understanding of how snowflakes form and fall. They loved being able to "touch" the snow and see it take shape, which made the lesson come alive in a way that books or videos simply couldn't.

In addition, we've been using misting fans to explore how freezing rain and sleet form, and students have been fascinated by how the mist behaves when it interacts with different temperatures. The non-toxic craft paints and Play-Doh have helped them craft winter scenes, while the Weather - Touch and Feel Board Book has provided additional context through a hands-on, sensory experience. These activities have allowed my students to engage with winter weather on a deeper level, using creativity and exploration to solidify their understanding of the science behind the season. Your contribution has made these meaningful, interactive lessons possible, and we are incredibly grateful for it.”

  • Ready, Set, Learn: Essential Supplies for the New School Year

    Funded Sep 5, 2024

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation to my classroom, which included the organizer rolling cart, erasable gel pens, empty glass spray bottles, and lavender essential oil. These materials have already made a noticeable difference in both the organization and atmosphere of our learning space. The rolling cart has helped keep materials organized and easily accessible, allowing me to work more efficiently with my students. The erasable gel pens are being used in individualized learning programs, giving us a flexible and effective way to support students' progress.

Additionally, the glass spray bottles, paired with the lavender essential oils, have been a wonderful addition to maintaining a clean and calming environment. The students love helping with the cleaning process, which fosters responsibility, and the lavender scent has created a peaceful atmosphere that aids focus and engagement. Your thoughtful donation has truly enhanced our classroom, and I am so grateful for the positive impact it has had on my students' learning experience.”

  • Sparkling Achievements: a Celebration of Success

    Funded May 27, 2024

I am thrilled to share the success of our recent project, "Sparkling Achievements: A Celebration of Success," which filled our classroom with excitement and joy as we celebrated our students' achievements. The students' eyes lit up with delight when they saw the Zazers Mega Slime Sour Lickers Candy and the Bubble Machine, adding an extra burst of energy to the festivities.

Having parents join us in the classroom added a special touch, as they witnessed firsthand the joy and pride in their children's accomplishments. This event not only celebrated our students' hard work but also strengthened the bond between families and our school community. We are deeply grateful for your support, which made this incredible celebration possible and left a lasting impact on our students and their families. Thank you!”

  • Autism Learning Oasis: Nurturing Early Readers

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

The project "Autism Learning Oasis: Nurturing Early Readers" has undeniably been a great support for both me and my students. The dedicated library corner within this initiative has evolved into a sanctuary, offering my students a space to explore literature that resonates with their individual needs and interests. With meticulously chosen books and a sensory-friendly layout, the environment not only facilitates their exploration but also fosters engagement and the development of essential literacy skills.

Moreover, the impact of our library corner extends well beyond literacy enhancement. It has emerged as a center for social interaction, communication, and emotional well-being among my students. Here, they have the opportunity to connect with peers and educators. This sense of community and belonging cultivated by the library corner is vital for students with ASD, instilling in them the confidence necessary to navigate the world.”

Thank you for your suppport! Your donations will help create an amazing therapeutic and learning space for our students. These sensory tools are just what they need to feel calm and regulate themselves so that they can stay on task. We look forward to being able to use these materials.

We are extremely grateful for your generosity.”

My students living with autism need a sensory area where they can go when they feel overwhelmed by the classroom environment or when they need specific sensory input. This sensory area will provide them with a safe space in the classroom to calm them down when they are agitated or become dysregulated. Students will be guided to this area when they begin displaying preliminary behaviors such as turning away from an adult, refusing to complete work or getting out of their seats. The bean bags, noise cancelling headphones, and weighted blankets will give them the opportunity to receive the sensory stimulation they need to help them calm down and become regulated. The rest of the soothing items will help students relax, and become aware of their emotions. The goal is to teach students to ask for a break when feeling upset, frustrated or dysregulated to calm down and then regroup. Teaching students strategies to cope with anxiety, frustrations and to self regulate are essential elements of becoming positive members of a community, and to enhance their quality of life.
