The materials will give us new sewing Items and supplies. In the previous years the sewing unit consisted of a few stitches and sewing on a button. Because of that, money was not spent on new supplies. A couple of years ago, I introduced the monster project. The reaction by the students was amazing. They came to class excited to work on their creations. When the students are hand sewing they are engaged , relaxed and creative. Students are engaged discussing their designs and ideas for their creations. The communication and collaboration is unbelievable. There is no cell phone or computers just a room full of students working together and creating a unique Monster sewing project.
