The students at my school will be able to use their new headphones, mouse, and keyboard to research and discover during their computer lab time. Headphones will be used to create a private sound in the ear of each of my students. Mouse will be used to point at objects and click options. Keyboards will allow my students to get familiar with the keys as well as help with motor skills that will help them on the long run in grade school. Ultimately, the students will gain lifetime skills that will help them navigate a computer with confidence. My students will learn how to type, utilize Microsoft, Powerpoint, Amplify reading and websites that will help them during state testing. Not many of my students have internet access or a computer at home. Therefore, not only will my students enter a welcoming lab that will have inspirational posters, resources, and images to help them navigate their computer. But will enter the computer lab to: create, observe, manipulate, present, utilize, teach, entertain, and research. Every students should have the opportunity to have these essential materials in the computer lab.
