Glad to Read Great Books!
Funded Mar 6, 2020Thank you for your generous donations. Since I received the books, pandemic hit us really hard so NYC schools were closed for more than a year. Since September 2021, I have been using the books in my class so my students are getting ready to take the Korean Regents exam in June. The books provide grammar lessons in detail so I am using the books every week. The books contain age appropriate dialogues so my students are doing better in speaking exercise as well.
Your donations are making a huge impact on my students' learning.
Thank you so much!!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Song

Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations.
When students came back in September, they received their own Korean notebook and they have been working every day learning Korean using the notebook. Each week I collect the notebook and check their progress and it is possible because of your generosity. I wanted to provide them with a welcoming packet with pencils, pens, and notebooks because they went through remote instruction during a pandemic. My students really like having their own notebook and they are happy to see their own progress as they skim through their notebook from Sept.
Again, thank you so much!”

Funded May 3, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations!
With your donations, I could make many study charts for my students in colors. The Korean language is so different from English speakers so I need to give them by providing a lot of resources such as study sheets and charts. I need to distinguish the usage of each particle and I used different colors. I gave my students the hard copies of them and I uploaded them in Google Classroom as "Classroom Resources" so they can have full access to the digital copies of all the study sheets that I have made for them. All these were possible because of your generosity.
Thank you so much!”

Funded May 24, 2020Sorry for the delayed message. Since COVID, I could not go back to the classroom to get the books until recently. I brought the books home and used them for Korean lessons via remote instruction. This year has been really challenging for the students, their families, and teachers but I am grateful that we made it through. The books contain many useful grammar and conversation lessons so my students enjoyed the materials. In September, I will keep using the books as supplemental materials alongside our textbooks.
Thank you so much for your generous donations.”

Safe Net for Students and Teachers
Funded Sep 9, 2020First of all, sorry for the delay. After COVID-19 cases increased, NYC school buildings were closed so I could not go back to my classroom until recently. I am really thankful that I received generous donations. When I went back to school in September 2020, I was very frustrated as other educators. The cleaning supplies were very limited and only thing I saw in class was a hand sanitizer. That is why I posted the project. When I recieved the project, I shared the alcohol, alcohol wipes, and paper towels with my colleagues and they were so happy to know that there are people out there who care. Again, thank you so much!”

Funded Jul 25, 2020Thank you so much of your donations. I use iPad every day as following: to use the google drive to make lesson plans, grading which made it so easy to make corrections on the PDF files with the apple pen. I can point at the right place and I can write my feedback so students get the clear message form me. I also use ipad to play Kahoot and other educational games with my students. With the iPad and my laptop, I can constantly watch my students through ZOOM and I can use the iPad as my online platform. It is like having two laptops at the same time. Since the iPad has touch screen feature, it makes my teaching so easy.
Again, thank you so much!”

Funded Jun 1, 2020"정말 감사합니다!" (It means I really want to thank you.)I just want to say "Thank you."
Your generous donations made a huge impact on my students. As I mentioned in my project, most of my students are non-heritage students and they are learning Korean as a second language and that is really challenging especially at this time. They are home learning Korean for the first time so I wanted to send them a care package. I made a "Korean Grammar at Glance" which includes Korean consonants and vowels, subject particles, object particles and location particles. I also included the verb conjugation rule. I laminated the worksheet and mailed it to my students. My students really appreciated that they can have it handy when they do their assignments at home. Also, I love the boogie board. I use it all the time when I teach online. I can write and erase so easily!
Again thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!”

Show Me Clearly!
Funded May 20, 2020Thank you for your donations! I am using the camera every day when I teach my students online and it made a huge impact! As I mentioned in my project, most of my students are non-heritage students so they need to see me writing Korean simultaneously. The camera enhanced the learning experience of my students tremendously! Now, my students are writing properly instead of drawing the symbols of Hangeul. I can also show the textbook and other visuals when I teach. I really love the reuseable notebook that I received as well. I can write with an erasable pen and I can reuse the notebook for the writing lesson. Again thank you so much!”

Funded Jun 18, 2019First of all, thank you so much for your generosity!
My students who are learning Korean for the first time, they are using the notebooks every day for writing. They really enjoy seeing their progress in writing. When they compare their composition at the beginning of the school year with their current work, they get excited. This is not all. They cherish their notebook, and they can take the notebook home to show their work to their parents, and both their families and students truly appreciate what you have done in their learning experience.
Again, thank you so much!”

Essential Kit for Daily Writing
Funded Dec 25, 2018Thank you so much of your generous donations!
My students are enjoying their cute notebooks. They are using them as their pictionary. Students are drawing the pictures and writing the definitions in Korean. This helps both native and non-native speakers. Now they are learning grammar so they are writing important grammar points and writing the example sentences so they can remember how to use certain words (adjective, demonstrative adjectives and pronouns). Without your donations, it would have been really challenging for non-native speakers to learn Korean. I am sure it will help them to enjoy learning Korean until they take regents and AP exam.
Thank you so much!”
