  • Tapping into Learning

    Funded May 28, 2021

    This donation of the Kindle Fires has allowed my students to have a fun, interactive center- tablet station. We use many different apps that allow students to explore their creativity and higher level thinking in ELA and Math subjects. The students are pretty well versed with technology so having these tablets excite them into learning. They have been able to practice letter knowledge and sounds, building words, listening to books as well as practice their math skills. They always enter the Tablet Center excited engaged and ready to practice their skills!”

  • Gathering Around Exciting Workstations

    Thank you so much for providing us with new materials for our centers. As shown in the pictures, the students have enjoyed having a more comfortable seating arrangement to read in the library. When they walked in after I set the Lakeshore sofa out, their faces lit up and they immediately noticed a new place to sit and read their books. The dry erase easel has been placed in the ABC center where the students are able to use magnetic letters and pictures to get alphabet practice. As well as writing with the dry erase markers. They loved having their own mini board for writing and applying magnets. The tablet was a great addition to the tablet center because there have been times when they'd have to share, and once they noticed that there was another tablet, they were thrilled! We will continue to use the materials donated by finding new exciting activities to add to the ABC center.”

My students are excited to read in the library although they have pillows in the floor. With the couch to be dedicated in the library center, the students will eagerly want to have the opportunity for a more comfortable seating experience than their chairs at the tables. The magnetic dry erase board will give the word work center a dedicated space to practice building and writing words. The board will allow them to have their own area in the room.

About my class
