Each child in my classroom will get to explore in the sand and water table. I like to add things from our theme of the week in each center to make it more enjoyable such as people in the sand, tables, trees. The children also love Pete The Cat. They sing along and put red shoes in the water and in the sand. We only have a paper Pete the Cat so we would love his books and cd's.
Water is always fun! They like to pretend to be at the beach or in the pool. Thought provoking questions go along with this activity. What do you do at the beach? Do you swim? do you fish? Let's reel in some alphabets from our water. Every child should have the opportunity to participate in sand and water. Some children are visual learners and this will help make this a more enjoyable center.
