In the inner city, most sports include a great amount of talent and training. Many students are left trying to make the team or gain starting roles in a particular sport. However, not every sport is being targeted in the inner cities. The sport of Powerlifitng is being left out and students are wondering why we can't represent our school in this sport. Powerlifting is a life-time sport that anyone can participate in. This sport includes competitively testing the lifter's strength on three lifts. The Squat, The Bench Press, and The Deadlift. The combine total of weight lifted qualifies them for places and recognition. By donating to this project, you'll help students at Navarro High School, use this equipment to start up a Powerlifting Program. This equipment will provide proper support to students them while lifting heavy weight during practices and competition. In efforts of gaining this equipment, this will help start the powerlifting program and will provide students with a way to participate in a life-time sport. This program will teach students weight room safety and correct weightlifting technique. All students who participate will be held accountable to their education. This program will follow a No Pass, No play policy and all efforts will be made to help these students, excel in the classroom.
