First Graders Create a Masterpiece

I just want to say how grateful my class and I are for the generous art supplies. When my students saw all of the crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint and brushes and paper they now have they were so excited.
We try to incorporate art into our weekly activities and the students get so excited. One of the projects the kids made was winter decorations. They glued popsicle sticks together to make snowflakes. After they dried, they painted them with the acrylic paints. Each snowflake looked unique and the students loved making them and couldn't wait to take them home.
Our next project is to make a rock garden. We will paint rocks and place them outside of our school. Everyone is so excited!”
