  • Headphones are a Must Have in the Classroom Today!

    Funded Sep 20, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation for our classroom to have brand new headphones! My students will love it. They will be able to focus and hear their literacy and math programs. It will make a huge difference for our class. Thank you so much for your help and support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hill

This classroom project was brought to life by The Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation and 7 other donors.
  • Scaffolding with Anchor Chart!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

My students loved the anchor charts materials. They were thrilled to have brand new amazing supplies to learn with during reading and math. We did a ton of learning during our whole groups blocks and to be able to look at the charts for reminders was extremely helpful to them during independent work charts. We made the charts interactive with post it notes. It was an amazing year. The charts hung around the room all year long as we continued to grow our brains. Thank you so much for the support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hill

  • Headphones to Help Improve the Quality of Learning!

    Funded May 11, 2023

My students love the headphones. We use them every day in all our subjects. One of the best things about the headphones is the microphone. The students record themselves reading and I can listen to check their fluency. The quality is amazing. They are great for children because they hold up very well.

The headphones block out the background noise. This helps the children to stay focused on their programs. I think this change will mean there will be lots of growth in all areas for my students. The headphones are game changer!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hill

  • Small Group Reading Needs

    Funded Nov 18, 2020

My students are growing as readers in our small group reading. Thank you so much for your generous gift. My students love the new supplies and they are so excited to have an excellent whiteboard to look at while I'm doing my teacher modeling. The magnetic letters are great for building and learning new words. Most of my students have grown by 3 levels! Thank you!!

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give toward my project. The children's faces lit up when the materials arrived! They beg me every day to use the new stuff. This is also increasing their love for reading. Having access to multicultural literature has empowered my students to have positive attitudes toward diversity and tolerance, and it is okay for others to be different from what they are used to! That is priceless in the world we live in today. They will one day be respectful and character-minded citizens of this world, that have sensitivity and tolerance for all people. Again, thank you for your donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hill

  • Headphones Are a Must in the Classroom!

    Funded May 7, 2020

Our headphones are wonderful. The kids were so excited. They look so nice and cool. I love how distractions are eliminated and my students are fully engaged.

They are perfect for individualized learning. Right now with COVID restrictions, the students are often in their own learning area working on different ZOOMs or on different programs. The headphones are life-changing in our classroom.

Thank you so much for your donation. I truly feel blessed to have someone who cares about education and to have someone to help us with buying instructional supplies.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hill

In my classroom, we use technology all the time. Students are definitely more engaged during lessons involving technology, and their excitement and understanding of learning has increased. In Reading, my students use Imagine Learning, an award winning language and literacy program. On Imagine Learning, students listen to lessons and read in a mic to practice and improve essential reading skills. Properly working headphones are important for students to maximize learning with technology programs. Being able to use these programs and moving at their own pace will increase their confidence as they continue to challenge themselves in reading. These programs are not very effective if students are trying to hear and read against the noise of other Chromebooks.
