In our classroom, we run various centers at one time. With big classroom sizes, I find that students learn best in small groups. While I am doing a "Meet with Teacher" center and various other centers around the classroom, it is worthwhile to have a technology center. My students can read along on Epic!, assess themselves on Padlet or Kahoot!, join a classroom discussion in Google, take a benchmark on Study Island, or watch videos on topics we have learned. However, we need technology in our classroom to do that. Further, my students love authentic learning that enhances their voices and gives them choices. Anytime my students can use technology to do that, I want them to have that choice. Trust me when I say, my students are individuals that will do good for society in the future. We need to give them our best.
