Every band and orchestra teacher believes they have the best students in the world, but in my case, it's true. Tuners in the classroom are imperative to students developing a sense of intonation but it's hard when 30 kids are playing together. Enter the clip on microphone. Now students can SEE exactly what sound their instrument is making. Ear training and tuning is one of the most impactful but trickiest skills young musicians need to learn. Audiences can tell when ensembles are out of tune. They may not know WHY it sounds bad, but they know it does. Tuning in the classroom provides better performance experiences for performers and audiences.
