The chairs will be used daily to help my students improve their time on task. The chairs allow the students to wobble, while they learn, leading to more time on task. Their core is activated so they are also staying fit at the same time. In addition, I don't have enough chairs and every time there is a transition to centers, the students have to drag their chair with them. This causes disruption and adds a frustration for the students, who already have trouble concentrating. It takes the students twice as long to get started on their center activities. The chairs will solve this problem. By donating to our project, you will help improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether the have to move their chair and then their materials. Plus the way the chairs are designed will help students get their energy out while concentrating on their work.
