Students work daily independently in learning stations as I work with a group of students in a guided reading group. There are six stations, which groups of 2 - 4 students rotate through each week. In these groups, students work together on literacy activities to enhance their learning from our whole group time together and the small group learning in the guided reading group. Some of these stations/centers are activities I have made from TPT and some are centers I have acquired through my teaching career.
The VersaTiles Literacy Classroom Kits would give my students a challenging and engaging way to practice and enrich literacy skills independently, while I am working with other small groups. The VersaTile Bob books would also give the students opportunities to practice the important sight words we practice and learn daily in the classroom.
The students love the stations I have made, but these VersaTiles would lead to more independence and literacy fluency. My students love for me to read to them, and I want to continue the love of literacy in their lives by nurturing the love of reading in their hearts. With the use of the VersaTiles Classroom kits, my students will quickly be on the road as successful readers and be filled with the desire to read, read, and read some more! Your donation to our class project will help these kindergarteners flourish and blossom as avid readers. And not only the students of my class will have access to the VersaTiles, but the other kindergartners in my school will also have access to this stimulating resource. And with the durability of this learning resource, it will be used for many, many years with future kindergarteners.
