All students use the materials on a daily basis in the classroom. The boards are easy to reach and store. Students do lots of hand on activities everyday using these materials.”

  • My Special Place

    Funded Mar 31, 2021

The project was used to help students share and connect vocabulary, rhyming words, math cards and silent reading. Flash cards were used during carpet lessons using both Spanish and English.

Students progressed in the areas of shared learning and station time. Students enjoyed the carpet because it had visual pictures in Spanish for bilingual instruction. Students used measuring tools on the carpet to measure different objects and manipulative.

All students were able to use the carpet for learning and enjoy the comfort that it provided. The carpet improved the classroom environment and helped to Enhance learning. The school provides learning for a Title1 low socioeconomic neighborhood, and the community is basically a low income community.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Aquela
