Tables for All
Funded Aug 23, 2022I could've never imagined how much these materials would've meant to myself and most of all, my students. They were absolutely flabbergasted when they first saw them, and even more blown away when they realized they could write on the AT THE SAME TIME as working. They couldn't believe such a thing existed and they thought I was doing something wrong. It was such a joy to see the amazement in their eyes.
Being able to have the accessibility of writing as they are working, without the need of stopping to take out a notebook etc, is pure ease. To have their work right next to them and be able to put their thoughts right there, on the table eases so much anxiety. They can literally think and jot.
During our phonics lessons, we are able to break words apart, right there on the desk. We are able to use our sound boxes when we reach a tricky word to solve it, without having to take time to open notebooks,
During sentence writing, we can all see their work and correct it as a group, being able to clearly view everyone's work.
Anyone who has walked into my room LOVES the idea of this and thinks it should be schoolwide. I cannot thank the donors enough, for the funding of this truly amazing project.”

This Is Our "New Normal"
Funded Dec 2, 2020Donating these items have meant more than you could ever imagine. Never, in a million years, did I imagine I'd be asking for cleaning supplies, along with books. Unfortunately, these are the times we're living in and I can't thank you all enough. My classroom is safe and clean and my students have access to the materials they need to keep them safe. In addition to that, the books have put such a smile on my student's faces. Their library is filled with new options that give them joy.
This has meant so much to me and my class.”

Sitting Right, Makes the Job Easier!
Funded Oct 14, 2019Your donations have helped my students and I in a tremendous way. When they first sat down and noticed the fidget bands, their first reaction was "I can put my feet on here?" They were so enthused that they had a place to rest their feet, move them for comfort, without flinging them aimlessly back and forth and just utilize them for their individual needs. I asked, do you like them? And they all replied with "yes, I love it!" Needless to say, these bands were a hit in my room. For the storage bins. What a useful item for my students to place their books and other supplies. Space is limited, so these sure came in handy. You have made my room a much brighter place with your donations!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Bowens-Belle
