My students love to serve others. By funding these trip dates you will allow them to serve their community and help young underprivileged children learn to read. These kindergartners they are helping represent my LIA students and where they come from. Some of my students came from the very elementary we will be working at. Teaching young students how to read and serving them makes my students feel like they have so much to offer. They get a huge confidence boost and start to realize just how capable they are. They begin to quickly realize they can make a difference in themselves, with others and in their community. They also start to realize in their new found confidence that college and the rest of their dreams are not out of the question for them.
