We currently have only two computers in our classroom and they are at least 10 years or more old. They constantly breakdown or shut down as the children are using them. I cater to students with disabilities and it is a struggle for them emotionally when the only technology they have fails to work. My students need the ability to go into a corner when feeling overwhelmed and work specific learning goals that these iPads can provide. iPads can give them the freedom to move around the classroom because sometimes not standing still is apart of their disability. My students will benefit from educational games and resources available on the app store. Some of my students are non verbal there apps that would allow them the option to press a button that will speak for them. This would allow them the freedom to communicate with the world around them.
