These books will be used to support many of the reading lessons. While the teacher is reading, the students can follow along. While the teacher is modeling think alouds, the students can be taking note of good places to stop and think. While the teacher answers a question by referring to the text, the students can learn how to support their claims with evidence from the text. Additionally, these books can be used to assess student learning. I will be able to see what the students learned from a lesson, how to support them, and how to push their thinking!
