We are requesting brain games and project boards so that they can work on their critical thinking skills and become better problem solvers. The games listed in this project will enhance my students' ability to reason through a problem and think critically in order to solve it.
I am trying to get students to see the "whole picture" when looking at a situation. Many times, students have a one-sided view of their world instead of a global view. They need a safe place to practice problem solving where they can make mistakes and learn from them.
Students will spend time each day working on mind games and puzzles to help them learn about critical thinking. I teach gifted students who often times need more practice in exercising common sense.
I hope that this project can help them to grow in more ways that the typical school environment can offer.
