Reading is essential to a child's education. Through reading, students are able to fall in love with an author, learn new things about a variety of topics, and build their vocabulary knowledge. Tapping into a child's interests helps hook a child and develop a love for reading. My students are more likely to engage in reading when they are reading a book that they want to read not just have to read. By getting to know my students and being aware of the popular titles that are available to our students, I recognize a gap in my classroom library. The books on this list will help fill the gap in my classroom library. Your donations will help me provide the students in my classroom the books that they desire and want to be reading.
