I Can Tie My Shoes!
Funded Mar 1, 2022Thank you for graciously donating towards this project. Over the years, I have seen more and more students coming to school without the ability to tie their shows. Not only typical developing students but students with disabilities are having inexperience and difficulties with this basic every day skill. The resources you helped to supply are aiding these students in success with a skill most of us take for granted. They are no longer having to rely on adults to stop throughout the day to tie their shoes. They are gaining confidence and independence with a simple task thats needed. Thank you for your generosity.”

Funded Sep 23, 2021Thank you so very much for your generous donation. The items purchased with your generosity have been given and/or used with students throughout the school to help them take breaks or keep focus in a variety of settings. These tools aide in minimizing their anxiety, frustration or stress.
These tools have also aided in keeping busy hands occupied so they can better attend to instruction. Thank you for allowing me the chance to help other students and teachers with use of these tools.
Every day, every moment is a chance to make a difference and your help makes those chances easier to reach.”

Funded May 3, 2021We are truly grateful for your generous donation. Your donation has supplied various resources for children with special needs. These items are needed in various ways to help these students optimize their learning potential throughout the school day.
These students are able to use the sensory tools to help get to or maintain a calm state in order to learn. They are enjoying the options you provided to keep their busy hands and their busy bodies calm. Often times, these special students are not able to control their bodies. These tools are helping to meet that need. When they can keep a calm body, they are able to listen and attend to instruction better.
These resources have truly helped meet these special needs. Not every classroom has tools and options for individuals with sensory seeking needs to explore. It has been such a treat to offer them a variety of options. It helps keep their interest, keep them motivated, keep them learning. We do what we can everyday to help these students and with your help, we can make it more fun! Thank you so much for your kindness, in a world they live in with so little, what you gave is so much.”

Funded Nov 16, 2019Thank you so very much for providing donations to supply this grant. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. The materials we were able to receive have brought opportunities to these students that they normally do not have. The materials provide them with an opportunity to engage and participate in school related tasks that on a typical day they have great difficulty with. The students I serve have a wide variety of difficulty in learning and using multi sensory tools and materials give them a better opportunity to engage in school related tasks. The tools bring myself and other staff members ideas and opportunities to engage them.
The students are being given the opportunity to use these materials in a variety of school settings. They are working on motor, sensory, language, behavior and writing skills. The materials make their learning more accessible and fun. When the new materials are introduced, they are showing improved initiation to participate in activities. The students that are benefiting from the sensory tools are showing more relaxed behaviors which allow them to attend to school tasks more easily. One student who does not normally hold writing tools has really enjoyed the inductive writing tool and wiggle pen. It has improved her participation greatly.
Moving forward, these tools will continue to be used with these students, introduced at various times throughout the year to maintain their interest and participation in school tasks. The tools will help to facilitate growth and development in basic learning skills.
We are so grateful for your generosity, attention and interest in this project. These items can make a difference which is why we are here to work together to change these lives.”

Mrs. Jenna
