Books are great! Online virtual activities are nice! But what could be better than actually following the path of the digestive system from the mouth to the "other end"? Practically no middle school school student has had the opportunity to dissect a frog. The systems that make up a frog are very similar, in many ways, to the human body systems. We feel that allowing students to discover the body systems in a dissection lab will be an experience they won't forget and will talk about for years to come. Our dream and hope is that the experience will spark a love for science and instill a belief that science is fun and exciting. Looking at pictures or watching someone on line dissect a frog will not generate this type excitement.
