Thank you to my husband for investing in my classroom!! These manipulatives will be used for the remainder of the school year and my students will use these must needed manipulatives to explain their reasoning, help them understand, solve, break down problems and be able to grow into math thinkers and solvers! Your kindness, generosity and always being my big helper and number one fan doesn't go unnoticed! Thank you for your donation and thank you for helping my students reach their highest potential!”

All I can say right now is WOW and THANK YOU! We have been able to create, learn, build, explore and decorate our classroom all year. We have hung up beautiful projects that the students worked so hard on during each reading and writing unit this school. Our students haven't received our end of the year goodies yet. That is a surprise, which I know that they will truly appreciate. You will make all of their end of the year dreams come true! They will get to use all of these gifts to use over the summer and the beginning of 6th grade. THANK YOU so much for supporting this special 5th grade class!”

The first thing we at P.S 16 wants to say is... Thank you! We have recently received your gift and are so excited to provide even more for our students. Each year, I strive to bring our students the best possible education and other enriching experiences. However, with the costs of basic school supplies, even books geared toward their reading levels it is hard to purchase them on my own. My students were able to grow several reading levels with the help of your generous donations! In the end, your gift went to our students and they can't thank you enough too!”

In our class we have had the pleasure use and incorporate these books into our read aloud time and our social emotional learning time. Our read aloud and social emotioal library has grown significantly because of your donation! The diversity of these books has given our children the opportunity to see themselves in mirrors and windows. We have enjoyed reading some of the books more than once! We truly appreciate everyone who donated to our classroom community. You have given these children so many opportunities through books!”

My goal this year is for my students to see themselves in books. In order for my students to see themselves in books, a social emotional multicultural library is in need. By creating a read aloud library that represents my class, my students will be able to make connections to the stories. Children enjoy reading more when the books come alive for them and they are ale to connect to them. This fosters By seeing vital reading skills like comprehension and establishes a healthy rapport with reading. The key ingredients to learning this school year is to understand feelings and emotions, to have readers see themselves in stories and to learn different perspectives from their peers. These books will be able to foster healthy conversations and take us on new adventures!
