My students need more hands-on learning experiences to make math and science come to life. Magnets are like magic! Third graders will have fun while understanding physical science. Magnets are part of our 3rd-grade science curriculum. Think about when you were a kid. Did you play with magnets? Exploring magnets and magnetic fields is real science, and kids deserve to have these experiences in school. Dice and place value blocks are used in many of our games in the classroom. Students practice addition and subtraction with place value blocks and multiplication and division with dice. Lastly, engineering materials such as Magna-tiles and straw construction allow students to use their imaginations and creativity. They make for great collaborative play!
