  • Libros para Todos! Books for All!

    Funded Jan 23, 2023

Thank you for making small group time/center time enjoyable while providing much needed English language support to my English Language Learners.

My other students also are enjoying center time because they are using the resources to support reading strategies.

The Spanish chapter books are a big hit in our library! Now my students love changing books in our class library because they have books they can read and understand. They enjoy talking with their friends about the books. They can also read at home and share with their family.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Romero

  • We Can Be Safe While We Learn!

    Funded May 4, 2021

Thank you very much for helping to keep my classroom safe during these still uncertain times. The plastic desk sneeze guard shields have helped me and my students feel safe and comfortable to be back in the classroom.

We have been able to use them during or small group guided reading time. They allow us to sit together at one table yet still be safe while learning. Times are still stressful in the classroom, however this has helped us feel a little like pre-pandemic times because we are able to sit near one another safely.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Romero

  • Let's Have a Safe School Year!

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

I was not able to use the folders this year because my class became virtual due to the pandemic. However, I am optimistic and hopeful that I will be able to provide them to my new class next year. Regardless if it's my current class or next school year's class, I know they will be grateful.

I have been able to use the stickers and manilla envelopes to send my students little incentives to make them feel special and cared for. I have also loved using my giant magnetic writing paper board. Since I am teaching remotely it has been so helpful when I'm teaching my students.”

  • Special Delivery!

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

My students were able to receive their star student awards for all their hard work and effort. They were so happy to tell me when it arrived and to show me during our zoom morning meetings.

Each month in order to celebrate thir birthdays I also send them a birthday certificate along with the stickers. This school year is so different from last year because we are not able to celebrate together and have birthday parties like we used to. This means so much to them especially during these difficult times.”

Thank you for helping to foster the love of reading. My class is so excited to receive our books! It will feel great to have new books in our library. Thank you for helping us make our library more inviting and enjoyable! My kids will be able to have more choices and to practice reading in spanish.”

  • Reading Rocks!

    Funded Nov 19, 2019

My students were so excited to see our new Kids Kore Wobble chairs, they saw them right away when they walked into our classroom. They began to tell one another " we have new chairs, look at our chairs!" I even overheard them telling each other I can't wait to have reading so I can sit on the chairs.

When my first guided reading group was called over to sit on the stools they beamed as they walked over and sat down. They whispered to each other " this is gonna be so much fun!" As the lesson began I saw how focused they were as I explained the phonics game we would be playing in order to sound out the syllables in a word.

I really noticed how focused and willing to push themselves my students were. Each new group of students were able to move and rock their bodies, yet it did not stop them from keeping focused and engaged in the activities. Our guided reading area is now a place all my students want to be called to because it allows them to learn and move.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Romero

My students need 5 active learning stools to sit actively and keep their minds engaged during guided reading and small group instruction. I believe these stools will motivate my students and allow them to sit and be active at the same time. Learning to read in a different language is difficult. However, these stools will keep my students engaged which will allow them to sit and move through the challenges of learning so many new things. This will promote movement which will help them to improve their concentration, implement better posture, and boost their energy levels throughout the day in order to be successful in the classroom. Thank you for helping to ensure my students' safety and increase their capacity for learning.
