My children have learned to love ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop in my dance classes but they are missing out on the experience of "feeling" like dancers due to a lack of budget for shoes. The children know the steps and now want to show all of their hard-work by dancing in "real dance shoes". It is really hard to enjoy tap, when there is no sound. It is also challenging to learn the ballet steps correctly when you can'e really point your toes or feel the floor because you are wearing sneakers. The children learn about famous dancers as part of the curriculum and they really want to look like "Misty and Savion"
