I use Class Dojo as a reward system to help keep my students focused and on task. At the end of the week, they are allowed to "cash-in" their points for rewards. With about 150 students this year, my supplies have been running consistently short. Some kids are crushed to find out I'm out of chips, when perhaps this was a small meal they were counting on for the day. Having a well-stocked pantry in my classroom will alleviate a small part of their food insecurity, and hopefully motivate them for greater success in their learning, as well as simply helping them get through the day.
