Morgan's Wonderland field trip will provide the Special Needs Life Skills students an opportunity to explore the outdoor in an safe inclusive environment. Students with physical disabilities will get to fish from a wharf and choose accessible rides and activities. Students with autism will have the opportunity to experience the Sensory Village with interactive experiences to foster creative play. Through KMWL-TV (Channel 7), students will have the opportunity to forecast the weather and see themselves on TV! The students are from an urban school with 90% of the students receiving free or reduced lunch. The self-contained classroom is without windows - the students do not get outdoors often. This opportunity will give the students to interact and explore the outdoor environment providing them with life-long memories before they graduate.
