The group of students I teach is a Self-Contained classroom, which means that they receive all the instruction in only one class with only one teacher (Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies). Since it is not a specialized classroom, there is no room to post all the necessary information for every subject. Having the chart stands with the anchor charts displayed will allow the kids to focus on a specific idea, fact, event, or process during the whole week and help them to absorb the material faster. They need the classroom set in a way where they are regularly provided with new information. It is proved that visual learning is vital in the learning process and helps the students to catch and hold attention, as well as maintain their interest. Having the chance to overview every day the targets of the topics they are taught through the week will allow my students to increase the acquisition of the contents as well as improve their language skills.
