When a student is having trouble finding a library book I often refer them to the desktop computer to look at the library catalog. When they locate a book, paper and pencil must be used to record the information and then take this information to the book shelf to locate the book. I am hoping to make them mobile and eliminate the recording of information. Using an IPad mini will allow the students to search for the information and take the IPad with them to the library shelving area where the book is located. No more paper and pencils needed and technology is at their fingertips, not on a table on the other side of the room. The use of this technology will allow my students the freedom to browse the library to find many topics of interest.
