I am continually striving to teach my students through hands on learning! Much of our science and social studies are areas that require students to do research and some exploring. We also use the chromebooks for math practice (i-ready), reading practice (lexia), writing and assessments. We are an extended day school and I do not have enough chromebooks for one of my tracks: my A-Track is double the size of my B-Track. Because of this, I have to split the activities that my students are doing and rotate them on an off schedule, or put two students on a chromebook at a time. This also means we do not get to use the chromebooks as often as we would like. Having 5 more chrome books will allow my students to have "whole track" access to updated technology that will allow them to learn and grow. They will be able to do their own research and do their own projects in which they will learn more because they are engaged in their own learning. They will also be able to work more on our reading and math programs which they often ask to do. Each of these chromebooks will stay with our classroom. This means that because of you, your child, friend, niece, nephew, ect. will get to learn that much more!
