One critical criteria for optimal learning is for students to be able to move and/or stand while they are learning to be more fully focused and engaged learners. Students all learn differently and my goal is to create an environment where all learners are supported in a way that best fits their unique style of learning. Standing is proven to be one of the most effective ways to improve memory and focus. Research shows that classroom standup desks can also enhance cognitive skills and improve test scores. Additionally, students burn 15 - 25% more calories than students who sit at a conventional desk.
