Technology Needed to Facilitate a Virtual Learning School Year
Funded Aug 20, 2020Thank you so much for donating these items! These items have been used to support teaching in the new virtual setting. The monitor stand was used to hold two monitors. Teaching virtual classes I can have my students on zoom on one monitor and the class material on the other monitor; making it easy to navigate the class. The monitor was used to help share information and assess the student's understanding. The power surge was used to charge all the technology such as the computers to help with presenting daily lessons. The USB was used for the storage space; it helped save lesson plans and student work.
We have been grateful and excited about all the items! The desk is helpful because it is being used to hold the monitor, the monitor stands, and the other items. The floor mat and chair were items used to help facilitate the virtual setting. All of these items come in handy because it will show great improvement in class productivity. These materials will be used to support both teaching and learning.
These items were lacking in my classroom and now my classroom is set up to be successful in this virtual/physical setting. Utilizing this technology has been a satisfying feeling because I know that this will have a positive impact on my student's learning experience. We thank you, donors, for all that you do. Thank you for choosing to donate to my class!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Jean

Funded Oct 9, 2019Thank you so much for donating these items to my students! My classes use technology such as the printer, laptop & laptop cover, clicker, and phone every day. My students use the color printer to print their assignments. A major assignment that they use the printer for is to print out their resume and cover letters. The laptop is a technology used in my class for moments when we are displaced out of class or when we have field trips. Students will use the laptop to do their assignments. The laptop cover, of course, is used to protect the brand new laptop so that it can stay in great shape. The wireless clicker is used for presentations in the class. Students use this when they want to present on a topic. The wireless phone has been really beneficial to my students because they can use it for job interviews or when they need to make an important call.
My students have been grateful and excited about all the items! They especially like the color printer. The color printer allows them to print items they need for my class and other projects they may be working on. The wireless clicker is also a popular item. There is a lot of presenting on PowerPoint in my class so, the teams use the clicker for their presentations.
All my students have warmed to the new technology. These items were lacking in my classroom and now it has become second nature for the students to use them. Watching them utilize the new technology has been a satisfying feeling because I know that this will have a positive impact on their lives. We thank you, donors, for all that you do. Thank you for choosing to donate to my class!”
