Standing desks would really help our students get their energy out while being able to complete work standing up. Many times our students need to get up and move around after sitting all day. Standing desks would allow them the ability to complete work and release their energy. These desks would be used in two different rooms: one special education and one co-taught, inclusion classroom. We would place them towards the back of the room, so students that need to release their pent up energy can do so in an appropriate way. It will not only help them keep working but also assist in improving their academics and behaviors.
