Students will work in groups and do research on one of the assigned body systems. Research will focus on the structure and functions of the major organs in the assigned body system. All projects will be posted, in our classroom, on our dry erase boards using dry erase magnetic tape. Each group will be responsible for making a human-size drawing on white butcher paper that will be used in the presentation. On the butcher paper, the organs must be labeled and colored with either makers or color pencils. On a separate sheet of paper, they will list the organs in their assigned system and give a brief description of the organs, list five diseases associated with your assigned body system, and list three fun facts regarding your assigned body system. Hopefully, all supplies needed for the project (scissors, color pencils, sharpener rulers and makers) will be found inside the rolling cabinets with drawers in our classroom.
