As a low-income community our students rarely have tech at home, and our school spends a lot on supporting our students basic needs, but technology is lacking. Students in General Education Classrooms typically have access to iPad's or tablets, but our Supported Level Academics students are in need of additional technology to support their learning. In our science classroom alone, we have no lab materials and iPads would provide the opportunity for virtual labs in Biology and Health. iPads would provide additional reading programs for our lowest achieving readers to reduce the gap. iPads would also allow additional math instruction for students who do not learn in traditional classroom environments well.
