The gift card has gone a long way this year to purchasing digital activities for the students to use during remote learning.
The transition to virtual teaching has been challenging, but with your generosity, we have been able to bridge the gap and still achieve major milestones in our curriculum.
The students have thoroughly enjoyed learning in this new way and the digital activities facilitated their ability to receive real-time feedback. This helped them to learn from their mistakes and mirror the teacher's presence in the classroom. What a tremendous help!
Thank you so much for your amazing generosity towards my students. We are truly grateful to you for your support.
Teaching and learning French are challenging feats and your support has contributed to overcoming the obstacles we face as teachers and students.
Many times we begin a new chapter and the students have trouble recalling the vocabulary and expressions we have learned just a few days before. As such, I believed that this was a great idea - a laminating machine which can be used to create colorful flash cards. These flash cards in turn will be posted on the boards in the room for students to refer to from time to time. This will help tremendously with recall and improve writing overall in the classroom.
I thank you so much again for your generosity and am so happy to share with you the way in which your donation has and will help us all.”
Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity to us! Together we will bring French to our children, in an innovative and immersive environment! Thank you for helping us share our passion for this beautiful language and culture with the kids of New York; forever grateful to you!”
Speaking is the number one motivating factor for students learning a language. In my class, I like the students to research and use Google Earth in real time. I also like them to use Flipgrid and Charlala in speaking assignments. When doing individual speaking, students do not feel motivated. So why I pads, you ask?
The kids feel inspired to participate, knowing that speaking is the ultimate goal behind learning this beautiful language. They enjoy using current technology in class and their sense of enthusiasm motivates me. These I pads will go a long way in boosting the French Speaking Project.
