My students will enjoy the chairs in order to have more flexible seating, ensuring that they have more choice in their education, and how they learn. One of the best things about our classroom community is that we have respect for each other's differences, and embrace the diversity we have! My students also differ in their Reading Comprehension abilities. I utilize the Reading Curriculum in my classroom to introduce the students to the new lesson and story, for example, this week students are reading a text called "Destiny's Gift" based on a girl who wants to become an author and loves the written language. The reading skill we are focusing on this week is Understanding Characters and performing a character analysis. The reading centers would be perfect for when the students break into small groups. I would place out a specific activity based on the weekly reading comprehension skill to reinforce taught skills. Analyzing literature is a passion of mine, and I hope to pass this along to my students. Using the Daily Five structure, I lead small groups each day. While I am leading a small group, students are collaborating to complete their given work. Receiving these interactive and fun Reading Comprehension Centers will allow students to be very engaged in learning. Students will use these centers on a daily basis, in small, collaborative groups to enhance their reading comprehension. I want students to become passionate and enthusiastic learners who find as strong of a love for reading as I do! Students are knowledgeable about Howard Gardner's Theory, of the Multiple Intelligences, and are beginning to understand themselves, and their own best learning styles. I have many kinesthetic learners within my classroom, as well as linguistic and artistic; this is why I feel the above items will truly enhance
