I work with our most fragile regular education students. Each year, I send home differentiated books designed to support language acquisition and to become a great reader. My kiddos transport these materials in overstuffed backpacks and generally store them in cereal or shoe boxes. This reality just breaks my heart. I want help my students to feel SPECIAL by helping them to create their own beautiful home libraries. The book bins and bags will be for the students to take home their books. The academic benefits of a home library are multi-fold, but feeling a sense of pride in maintaining their own libraries is priceless!
