  • Flexible Learning: Floor Seats for Fun

    Funded Feb 14, 2025

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our generous donors for providing flexible seating for our classroom. These new seating options allow my kindergarten students to sit comfortably on the floor right in front of the board, enabling them to copy lessons easily.

The flexible seating promotes independence, allowing students to make choices about where they do their best work. For those who benefit from movement, these options give them the chance to learn in a way that suits their needs. I am already seeing a huge positive impact on my students, and it's all thanks to your support.

Thank you once again for helping to make our kindergarten classroom a nurturing environment where young minds can thrive.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Carter

  • Reading Bins for the Win

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the generous contributions of individual reading bins and headphones for my kindergarten class. These reading bins have made a remarkable difference, allowing each student to read independently and select books that truly interest them. The freedom to sit comfortably anywhere in the classroom has transformed our reading time into a cherished experience.

Additionally, we have started partnering with fifth-grade buddies, and these individual reading bins enable our students to take their leveled books to their classrooms. This not only fosters a love for reading but also helps them grow into confident readers. The new headphones have also been invaluable, allowing students to work independently on their tablets without the hassle of sharing. This enhancement significantly improves their experience with our reading programs.

Thank you once again for your incredible support and for encouraging a love of learning in my classroom. My students are absolutely thrilled with these new resources!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Carter

  • Tiny Tables =Tiny Projects

    Funded Jul 23, 2024

I want to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation that has allowed me to provide differentiated seating options in my kindergarten classroom. The students absolutely love the new cushions and egg chairs, which have made rug time much more comfortable for them.

Many of my students with sensory issues have found the varied seating options to be incredibly beneficial, as they can now better accommodate their movement needs during ELA and center time. I've noticed my students are more engaged in their learning when they are comfortable and their sensory needs are being met.

Thank you for helping to make this dream a reality. I will continue working to ensure my classroom environment is diverse enough to meet the learning needs of all my students. I can't thank you enough - your contribution has truly made a difference in the lives of my kindergarten class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Carter

  • Learning Centers That Will Delight Little Learners!

    Funded May 6, 2024

Thank you for the generous donation of literacy centers to our kindergarten classroom. The students are learning valuable skills such as phonics and literacy while working cooperatively.

Working together is such a crucial aspect of kindergarten, as it helps foster important social and emotional skills in our young learners. When students collaborate and engage with their peers, they not only learn how to communicate effectively but also develop empathy, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

I would like to emphasize the importance of good phonics materials in helping students develop strong reading and language skills. Phonics plays a vital role in building the foundation for literacy by teaching children the relationship between letters and sounds. By mastering phonics, my students will become more confident readers and communicators.

Your contribution has had a positive impact on our classroom, creating a fun and engaging learning environment where students are enjoying themselves while learning.”

  • R Is For Rug!

    Funded Nov 23, 2019

Thank you so much for your very generous donation. The children literally squealed with delight when they entered my classroom and saw our new rug. They were so excited to see how beautiful it looks in our room, and they could hardly wait to step on the letters, numbers and color words that decorate the rug.

We practice letters and letter sounds with the letters on this rug. Coincidentally, there is also just enough space for each student to sit comfortably on a letter allowing students the personal space that they need. We use the numbers to practice adding and subtracting. Students can hop up or down depending on which algorithm we are practicing. Learning is more fun than ever before with this beautiful rug. Our rug has made a huge impact on how we learn in our classroom.

Our new rug also offers us a comfortable space to sit while reading stories, doing calendar time and constructing and playing with friends. Children can be innovative and creative without worrying about bumping into their neighbors.

I can't thank you enough for your generous donation. Please know that you have made a positive difference in our kindergarten classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Carter

  • Tiny Tables = Tiny Projects

    Funded Oct 7, 2019

Thank you so much for your very generous donation. The children noticed the tables right when they entered our classroom. They were so excited to see how beautiful they look in our room, and to take advantage of having a comfortable space to complete their work.

The larger tables have allowed us the space needed to complete projects simultaneously at our tables. Children can sit beside each other and be innovative and creative without bumping into their neighbor. Students can now do art projects without having to sit on the floor. They can complete math lessons while using manipulatives without worrying about items falling to the floor while they are counting.

These tables have made a huge impact on how we learn in our classroom. They have helped our students to be more comfortable, and they have helped them to think bigger than ever before because now we have the space!

I can't thank you enough for your generous donation. Please know that you have made a positive difference in our kindergarten classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Carter

I am hoping for larger tables for my classroom so that students have the works space, and personal space needed to work cooperatively while creating and constructing. Larger tables will allow students the room they need to work on art projects, STEM projects and complete literacy activities. Right now students are forced to complete all work on the floor of our classroom which leads to disorganization. It also leads to students handing in work that is not their best. Working on the floor doesn't allow students to work to their fullest potential. Larger tables would increase organizational skills. They would allow for more cooperative work times. They would allow students to demonstrate their best work. Larger tables would allow students the space they need to construct, create and innovate.
