Have you ever started a new program for yourself, at work, or for your children? Going into any new situation can be terrifying, stressful, and uncomfortable on so many different levels from emotional to physical work. As a first year teacher, this is how I sometimes feel. I do need extra support for not only myself, but my students with high needs. Any item donated will help my students tremendously in our day to day routine and lessons. This is the first Autistic Support classroom in my school building ever! We are working from the ground up! This is my list of basic classroom needs I have noticed in my first month of teaching. Please consider helping my students achieve their best work! Help make this new program a little less terrifying. These materials will make a difference in my students learning. For example we will be utilizing the pencil grips and thick pencils to increase a students writing abilities. Further more, we will be using timers and visual aid charts to assist our students during transitional times. All of these materials are very vital throughout our daily routine.
