  • A's Activities of Daily Living

    When the boxes for our project started arriving, my students were so excited, and couldn't wait to open them.

    Right away we started using them for our Natural Environment Teaching lessons. This is where we take skills the students mastered skills and put them to use in a generalized/"natural" setting, such as cooking.

    We've already been able to make hot dogs, pancakes, and cookies using the appliances donated. My students have absolutely loved being able to work in a modified kitchen. We look forward to getting even more creative as the time goes on!”

    Thank you so much for your kind donation. The pillows are used as assigned seating for my students during our Morning Meeting/Circle Time. Using them as assigned seats has also taught my students about spacial awareness during Circle Time and other large group activities. When they are not in use, my students use the pillows as a comfortable spot to look at books on.

    They dividers donated have assisted in limiting distractions when being taught at the table. Limiting the distractions allows the students to focus on the early learning and language skills programming.

    When the boxes were delivered to our classroom the students were so excited to open them and see what was in them. When they saw the pillows they immediately took them out, and used them to sit on in our book center.”

Utilizing dividers will help to eliminate distractions within the classroom. The pillows I have requested will used during our group morning meeting. These will provide assigned seating for each student during morning meeting. The pillows will also be used as a calming area for students to relax, and they will provide a comfortable place for my students to look at books during their center time.
