Help students to understand and appreciate literature from various genres and time periods. Give them opportunities beyond what is normally available to them so they can leave Montague prepared for college and beyond. If students are provided with multiple texts to examine, they will be better prepared to pass the AP exam and get college credit. Additionally, they will be better prepared for college. By having access to additional texts and class materials for annotations, summaries, responses, and essays, students will have an advantage when the AP exam occurs in May. More importantly, they will be better prepared for college if they are provided with college-level texts and materials.
