I am a new intervention specialist working with students in grades K-5 who are struggling with their reading skills. Students see me for 30 minutes a day and I want the learning environment to be fun, so they enjoy coming and working in my room. I need a variety of different methods to teach basic skills to all of the students. I want to infuse games and other activities to make learning exciting and it will also give them different ways to show what they know and be successful. By having a variety of teaching and learning materials I can better meet the needs of all of my students.
