There is a lot of research that supports a positive correlation between student's physical activity levels and their performance in the classroom. My goal is to create a workout space that is accessible, safe, and useful to my students and all students at our school. We would like to open the facility before and after school to give students a free and safe place to participate in physical activity, as well as having it open for PE classes or refocusing times for students. Creating a healthy space for students to experience working out is my goal. I want them to feel comfortable to improve in their own way and at their own pace. I want to educate them on proper workout etiquette, techniques, and behaviors to create a solid foundation as they transition into adulthood.
