  • The Magic of Reading

    Thank you for your generous donations to help make reading a fun. With your help, these "perfect fit" easy readers are now available to each student. TK is the first part of Kindergarten for those that qualify depending on birthday. The students are exposed to many Mo Willems books and enjoy hearing the stories. Owning their own book will allow each child to practice reading it at home with their families. Most of my students come from a low income households and cannot afford the luxury of purchasing a book. Thank you for helping me gear up reading and to placing a huge smile on their faces!”

  • "BIG" Books by Mo Willems Wanted for my Kindergarteners!

    Thank you for your generous donation so the students in my class can enjoy a copy of their own BIG book of Piggy and Elephant stories. We have several copies of this book in our library but these are often checked out and unavailable to check out. The reading level and interest is also perfect for my students.

The big book stand will allow students to follow along as I use a pointer to point each word being read and students will also be able to see the bright and colorful illustrations. Reading along with the teacher will help students be engaged with reading/recognizing words. I hope it will be a hook for the students and they will want to read even more! The big books work better being read from a stand rather than having me balance the book, reading the story, and turning the pages. Unfortunately, I end up dropping the big book and learned I need a stand for it.
