The 2020-2021 school year will start unlike it ever has before. One way I am helping my students with the transition is by providing them with a few essentials to make learning easier whether they are learning from home or school. The journals and pencils are a key component to my “Welcome to 9th grade ELA” package. Providing these materials for my students rather than asking them to provide their own ensures equity in the classroom. It also gives students the power to being learning and enhance their writing skill from day one.
