Real scientists need to experiment. They need more than just books. When students are involved in engaging, hands-on activities in the classroom, they often forget they are learning. Hands-on activities help promote teamwork and cooperation while allowing students to have fun. All of the materials requested are aligned to our curriculum and will be incorporated into our science lessons. I am requesting inflatable solar system models, a moon phase demonstrator and poster, and solar system magnets. With these items, I hope for my students to gain a better understanding of the sun, moon, and planets. I have also requested 24 wind power generator models. The students will work in pairs to create their own model generator. This will allow them to visualize how we can use energy from the wind. Lastly, I have requested magnets and a classroom collection of rocks and minerals. The students will be able to experiment with magnets and see how they work. They will also be able to observe the rocks and minerals and classify them using their unique properties. I want for my students to be excited about learning. Please help my students become real scientists by funding my project. It would mean a lot to all of us.
