No matter how careful they are, fifth graders are hard on materials. We want to do our very best to keep our new MacBooks in tip-top shape by using a sturdy, quality case for their protection.
Each day, students will carry their computers with them as they rotate between classes for social studies, science and Spanish. Although we need them to have their devices for each class in order to be able to participate in a curriculum that is fully integrated with technology, it is a risk to have them carry devices that have no cases.
Students are assigned a device to use all year. We are hoping that students will assume some ownership and really invest the energy into taking care of their "own" devices. Having different colored case will also help students differentiate between computers so that they are always using their own device.
